Phil Hellmuth, a Wisconsin-born professional poker player, has been a successful figure in the poker game. He was born in July 16, 1964 in Madison, Wisconsin and currently he resides in Palo-Alto California with his wife and children. Phil Helmuth’s professionalism and success in the poker game can be highly attributed to his aggressive and temperamental style of play where he is characterized by disparaging remarks about other players.

Phil has won 13 World Series of poker bracelets, the 1989 World Series of poker (WSOP), 2012 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) main event and the WSOP poker hall of fame. He tasted poker success from as early as 1989 when he was only 24 years of make which made him the youngest ever player to ever win a major event of WSOP; a record that stood until 2008 and later broken again in 2009.

Ever since, he has gone on to feature and win major tournaments all which have generated him a lot of cash. In 2013, although Hellmuth lost to Mike Matusow in the finals of the Nationals Heads-up Poker Championship he ended up winning $300,000 in the process.

Hellmuth has then appeared in season 1, 4 and 6 of the GSN cash game, High Stakes Poker.
