Mike Matusow, born April 30th, 1968 in Los Angeles, is an American professional poker player that boasts of several titles and considerable wealth under his belt. He is nicknamed “the mouth” from his bad reputation of taking trash at poker tables. He is conspicuously known to be the kind of guy that can ruin a god day’s play with a stupid misjudgment. He started playing poker in the 90s, first as a dealer and gradually progressed to become a professional poker player. He is a five time World Series Poker bracelet winner and also bagged the 2005 WSP tournament of champions.

He plays online poker at ultimate bet, poker stars and full tilt poker under different aliases. Recently in 2007 Matusow won $671 thousand dollars for being second place after losing to Kevin Saul at the WPT (world poker tour) Bellagio Cup III. Controversy; Mike Matusow Admits not having money to pay Ted Forest
In a rather funny twist of events, Matusow had placed a bet with Ted Forest and would pay the latter $2 million, if he lost weight to less than 140lbs and Ted would pay Matusow $150,000 if he did not lose the weight within the time frame. Surprisingly, Ted managed to lose the weight within the limited timeframe; weighing 138 lbs after the race. Matusow claimed not to have money to pay Ted all at once. He has been caught saying he would pay Ted in installments of $5,000 each month until the debt was settled. Matusow still hopes Ted would die before he pays him, talk of trash talking.
